About Mr Simon Parys
Born in Poland, Mr Simon grew up in tropical North Queensland before moving to Western Australia.
He completed his medical degree at the University of Western Australia before working throughout metropolitan and regional Western Australia while completing his specialty training in General Surgery.
Following admission as Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons Mr Simon undertook further sub-specialty training in Colorectal surgery and Acute and Trauma surgery.
Mr Simon furthered his education completing a Master's degree in Trauma with distinction.
Simon is a member of the European Hernia Society and the British Hernia society
A keen researcher Simon has multiple publications in surgical journals and multiple presentations at conferences. He is also a reviewer for the research journal Trauma.
Simon is committed to teaching medical students and junior doctors and maintains a link with the University of Western Australia mentoring medical students.
Simon has a long history of charity work, including undertaking overseas volunteer expeditions with the Children's Health Aid Team.
When not working Simon enjoys spending time with family, catching up with friends, traveling and bush walking.
To keep fit Simon swims and goes indoor rockwall climbing.
